Natalie Padveen, the owner and lead designer of Mystic Fe Designs™, got her inspiration for this truly unique line of jewelry after a trip to Iceland where she discovered the ancient powers of Nordic runes. For centuries the Norse people have used runes for luck, protection, good health and success, and the natives still deeply believe in their mystical powers to this day. Mystic Fe Designs™ is based on runic symbols, which are the pictorial alphabetic script that came into use in Europe around 500 B.C. The name "rune" is derived from the word "runa," meaning "secret" or "mystery." Runes embody the secrets of nature and are themselves secrets. Runes were originally used as simple markings and magical symbols for centuries, and have been used to foresee the future, attract love, bring good luck, prevent misfortune, and ward off threatening forces.

Even the company name "Mystic Fe" is based on runes, with "Fe" being an Icelandic name for the Fehu rune which is said to provide success, advancement in career, wealth and prosperity.

There are a hundred different combinations of runes, but Natalie chose to start with five symbols that she felt would be most esthetically appealing as well as most important in her life: Peace, Love, Good Health, Good Luck, and Protection. She has two lines incorporating these powerful ancient symbols: a sterling silver collection of trendy dog tags for men and women and an elegant 14k gold and diamond collection consisting of cuff bracelets, rings and pendants on enhancers sold with chains that can be transferred to beads, pearls, etc.

In addition to her growing career in jewelry design, Natalie is a 38-year-old wife and mother of two boys. She has always had an interest in fashion and design while living in trendy Boca Raton, Florida. Even though Natalie liked to follow the trends, she always tried to put a unique spin on things and somehow make a trend her own. With Mystic Fe Designs™ she was able to take inspirational jewelry to a different level and share the powers of the ancient world with our modern culture.
